available to student teachers and interns anywhere in the state.

CSU Fullerton Regional Center Imperial,
Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and portions of Los
Angeles Counties
CSU Fresno Regional Center Northeastern and
Central California
CSU Los Angeles Regional Center Central and
Western Los Angeles County, Ventura County
CSU Monterey Bay Regional Center Coastal
California and the San Francisco Bay area.

Why CalStateTEACH Worked for Me
Jorge Ramirez is a CalStateTEACH graduate from the Fresno Regional program. Upon graduation he taught in a bilingual program at an elementary school before moving on to teach middle school English Language Development, world history and English Language Acquisition. Jorge’s success soon found him working in school administration. He is now Vice Principal/program manager at Southeast Elementary School in the Fresno Unified School District. His knowledge and capability have also led to his involvement in the creation of two new schools within his district.

Happy 10th Birthday, CalStateTEACH
Ten years old and still rock-solid
A decade ago the state of California was in the midst of a teaching crisis. School districts were provided funding to lower their K -3 student-to-teacher ratio to a low 20:1. Districts throughout the state eagerly reduced class sizes, and many soon found themselves coming up very short of teachers. California State University Chancellor Dr. Charles Reed envisioned a program that would address this shortage while combining the flexibility of on-line learning with real-world classroom experience. As a result of his vision, CalStateTEACH was born.
