Credential Requirements:

1. Possession of a baccalaureate or higher degree other than in professional education from a regionally accredited institution;

2. Completion of the Basic Skills Requirement;

3. Completion of the CalStateTEACH professional preparation program with at least a 3.0;

4. Completion of all clinical experience courses with CR;.

5. Completion of the Subject Matter Requirement;

6. Demonstration of the Constitution requirement;

7. Passage of the TPA;

8. Completion of CPR Requirement (Infant, Child and Adult must be included); and

9. Passage of the Reading Instruction Competence Assessment (RICA).
