ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (unless you are an undergraduate with senior standing at a CSU).
A grade point average of 2.5 overall or 2.75 in the last 60 semester or 90 quarter units. If you have an undergraduate GPA of less than 2.5, you may not be eligible to receive financial aid.
One official, sealed copy of all university transcripts.

If you are a graduate of Fresno State, you do not need to submit official transcripts.

A liberal studies, liberal arts, elementary education major, or other degree that includes coursework in the content areas pursuant to subdivision (b) of Section 44282. See PSA 23-04

Passage of the Multiple Subject California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET) (http://www.ctcexams.nesinc.com/
The CalStateTEACH admissions team will evaluate all transcripts to determine Subject Matter Competence during the review of completed applications and supporting documents. Applicants will be notified of their status of the subject matter requirement within the first 60 days of the candidates’ admission.
You may begin the program while working toward subject matter competence. However, subject matter competence must be met by the start of term two.

Recommendation letters (evaluations) are completed through the Cal State Apply website. You will enter the writers' information when you complete your online application. Cal State Apply will email instructions to the writers to complete their recommendation.

May be obtained from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. A 30-day Substitute permit is also valid.

Tuberculin and Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) clearance is required
Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Immunization: All new and readmitted students must provide proof of full immunization against measles, mumps and rubella prior to enrollment. If you attended a California State University or University of California institution as an undergraduate, you have met that requirement. If you have personal or religious reasons for not obtaining proof, please complete our MMR Waiver.
Proof of tuberculin clearance completed within 6 months of program application must be submitted and is to be valid through the length of the program. Because of AB1667 applicants may complete a TB Risk Assessment or a TB test. (Some school districts may require the TB test and that may delay a candidate's placement.) The tuberculin clearance may be completed at a private physician's office, the County Health Department, or a campus Student Health Center. Immunization Waiver.
